Terms of service

Last updated: 24 August 2026

1. Who we are

These Terms govern use of https://www.yoozword.com and purchases from Yoozword, an independent online retailer powered by Shopify. “We”, “us”, and “our” mean Yoozword; “you” means the customer or authorised account user.

2. Eligibility and account information

You must have legal capacity to enter a contract and provide accurate billing, delivery, and contact information. Age, parental-consent, and restricted-product requirements are . Keep account credentials secure and notify hello@yoozword.com of suspected unauthorised access.

3. Product information and availability

We take reasonable care with product descriptions, images, colours, sizing, price, stock, and availability. Screen settings and batch variation may cause minor differences. Nothing in these Terms removes statutory conformity, quality, safety, or description rights.

4. Price, VAT, delivery, and order formation

Before checkout submission, we show the main product characteristics, total price, currency, VAT treatment, delivery charges, delivery restrictions, and payment method. Your submitted order is an offer. We accept when we issue an acceptance or dispatch confirmation, unless that communication or applicable law provides otherwise. We may correct an obvious error or refuse an order for fraud, legal, stock, pricing, or delivery reasons, and refund captured amounts for a cancelled order.

5. Payment, shipping, cancellation, and refunds

Payment is governed by the Payment Terms; delivery by the Shipping Policy; cancellation, returns, and remedies by the Refund Policy. Mandatory rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and Consumer Rights Act 2015 always prevail over a conflicting commercial term.

6. Payment security

Payment details are handled by Shopify and the providers shown at checkout. We do not request full card details by email. Verification, fraud screening, and provider declines may delay or prevent acceptance.

7. Intellectual property

Text, photographs, graphics, logos, designs, software, and trademarks on the store are owned by or licensed to Yoozword. You may use the store for lawful personal shopping. Do not copy, scrape, resell, reverse engineer, or exploit content without permission.

8. User content and prohibited use

Do not upload unlawful, abusive, deceptive, infringing, malicious, or confidential content. If you submit a review or image, you confirm you have rights to it and grant a non-exclusive licence to host and display it for the store. We may remove content that breaches law. Moderation contact: hello@yoozword.com.

9. Third-party services

Shopify, payment processors, carriers, analytics, advertising, reviews, and social services may have separate terms and privacy notices. We remain responsible for obligations imposed on us by applicable law, but are not responsible for an independent provider’s separate service failure.

10. Disclaimers and liability

We aim to keep the store available and information accurate, but temporary interruption or error may occur. Nothing excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, breach of statutory rights, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded. Subject to those limits, liability terms are .

11. Governing law and disputes

Governing law and court/forum: . Consumer protections in the country where you live continue to apply where mandatory. Do not insert an arbitration or class-action waiver without separate enforceability review.

12. Changes and general provisions

We may update these Terms for legal, technical, or business changes. The version applying to an existing order remains unless you agree otherwise. If part is unenforceable, the rest continues. Electronic records, notices, and assignment rules are .

14. Order lifecycle

  1. You submit an order with the required delivery and payment information.
  2. We send an acknowledgement or order record; this does not necessarily mean acceptance.
  3. We check availability, payment, fraud, legal restrictions, and delivery feasibility.
  4. We accept, dispatch, or cancel the order and communicate the result.
  5. After delivery, the Refund Policy and statutory rights govern cancellation, return, repair, replacement, price reduction, and refund.

Order records, confirmations, dispatch notices, and policy versions may be retained as evidence of the contract.

15. Promotions, discounts, and pricing errors

Promotions are subject to the terms shown with the promotion, including dates, qualifying products, minimum spend, exclusions, and one-use limits. We will not describe a comparison price, saving, scarcity, or countdown in a way that is misleading. If an obvious pricing or promotional error occurs, we will explain the correction and give you the statutory or contractual cancellation option.

16. Accounts and communications

You are responsible for information submitted through your account and for checking order emails, spam filters, delivery messages, and policy updates. We may suspend access where necessary for security, fraud prevention, or a breach, but suspension does not remove rights relating to an accepted order.

17. Reviews, images, and feedback

Do not submit content that is false, unlawful, discriminatory, confidential, infringing, or generated to manipulate reviews. You retain ownership of your content. You grant only a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence needed to display, moderate, format, and promote the review or image in connection with the store. Remove or correct a review by contacting .

18. Site availability and security

Maintenance, updates, carrier feeds, payment-provider outages, or events outside our control may interrupt the website. Do not probe, scan, introduce malware, scrape personal data, bypass access controls, or interfere with checkout. Report a suspected vulnerability to hello@yoozword.com without testing it against other customers’ data.

19. Notices and electronic records

We may give notices by email, account message, checkout notice, or publication on the website. You may send legal notices to . Electronic orders, acknowledgements, invoices, and policy versions may be stored and reproduced as durable records.

20. Severability and no waiver

If a provision is invalid, it will be read down or replaced to the minimum extent necessary and the rest will continue. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver. Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, employment, agency, or right for a third party unless the law provides one.

21. Consumer dispute information

Before starting court proceedings, contact hello@yoozword.com so we can investigate. Any alternative dispute-resolution provider, trade-body code, or regulator route we are required to identify is . You retain the right to use the courts and regulators available under applicable law.
